From 1st October 2026, the UK Government will introduce a brand-new Vaping Products Duty, adding £2.20 per 10ml bottle of e-liquid, before VAT is applied. This is the biggest price increase the UK vaping industry has ever seen and it will affect millions of vapers across the country.
For many customers, this means that a bottle of e-liquid currently costing around £3 could soon cost well over £5.
If you regularly buy 10 bottles at a time, your typical order could increase from around £30 today to £50 or more after the tax comes into force.
So the question everyone is asking is...
The honest answer is simple.
Buy your vaping products before 1st October 2026.
Any stock purchased before the tax comes into effect is bought at today's prices, allowing you to avoid paying the additional duty on future purchases.
Many experienced vapers are already beginning to stock up on:
As October gets closer, demand is expected to increase significantly, meaning popular flavours and devices could become harder to find.
The new Vaping Products Duty is a Government excise duty that will apply to vaping liquids sold in the UK.
Unlike previous proposals, the Government has confirmed that there will be one flat rate for all vaping liquids:
£2.20 duty per 10ml bottle
The tax applies regardless of nicotine strength and covers vaping liquids intended for use in vape devices. VAT will still apply in addition to the new duty.
Here are some realistic examples.
| Product | Current Price | Estimated Price after Ocotber 1st |
|---|---|---|
| Single 10ml E-Liquid | £3.00 | £5.50+ |
| 5 Bottles | £15.00 | £27.50+ |
| 10 Bottles | £30.00 | £55+ |
| Lost Mary BM6000 | £10.00 | £13+ |
Prices shown are examples and may vary between manufacturers and retailers.
Waiting until October means every purchase will include the new duty.
Buying before the deadline allows you to:
Many e-liquids have long shelf lives when stored correctly in a cool, dark place, making bulk purchases a practical option for regular users.

Yes—but only until 30th September 2026.
Once the new duty comes into force, retailers and importers must account for the additional tax, meaning prices across the industry are expected to rise.
