We hope you’re doing well. We wanted to give you an important heads-up about upcoming changes to UK regulations that will affect vaping products — and explain what this means for you.

What’s changing in the UK?

The UK government has just announced a new excise tax, Vaping Products Duty (VPD), which will apply to all vaping liquids (both nicotine-containing and nicotine-free) starting 1 October 2026. 

The duty is a flat rate of £2.20 per 10 ml of vaping liquid, regardless of nicotine strength. 

???? What this means for customers.

The price of vaping liquids and related products sold in the UK is expected to increase once the duty comes into force — particularly for smaller bottles or frequent users.

For businesses and retailers, compliance will require additional paperwork and adherence to the new duty-stamp scheme.

?? Why it’s happening.

According to the UK government and health authorities, the changes are meant to:

Reduce the affordability and general appeal of vaping products — particularly to younger people and non-smokers. 

Improve regulation of the vaping supply chain, making it harder for illicit or non-compliant products to be sold.

- Keep you informed about pricing changes or product availability as the new duty takes effect.

Meanwhile, if you plan to purchase vaping products soon — especially in larger quantities — you might want to consider ordering ahead of the duty’s 1 October 2026 start date.

As this new duty has only been announced yesterday, we will expect some updates and changes to be made over the coming months. We will keep a very close eye on the situation and ensure we relay any information we find back to you as soon as we can!
